Why You Should Get An SUV

Why an SUV?

If you’re in the market for a new vehicle, we believe a Chevy SUV is a solid choice for any driver. This is especially true if you want your new car to host a variety of features, such as the ability to transport up to nine passengers safely while achieving respectable gas mileage. There are a wide number of reasons you should purchase an SUV, and you may be surprised how many features can relate to you.

We highly recommend Chevrolet as the brand of choice because of a wide range of available SUV crossovers with the addition of top-notch performance standards since its inception. Today we’ll be focusing on Chevy’s 2020 Blazer and Suburban, two Chevy SUVs that we find to be of high quality and are definitely worth your consideration because of their capabilities and innovations alongside their timeless designs.

The 2020 Chevy Blazer

Starting our list is the 2020 Chevy Blazer, an SUV that effortlessly combines fashion with performance. The Blazer features up to nine different paint styles and three engines to choose across the Blazer’s six trims, each including an 8” touch-screen for phone calls, navigation, and Bluetooth audio. This screen will also be used for displaying cameras around your vehicle when backing up or parking if you choose that package.

With the simple turn of a dial, you can modify your Blazer’s performance to better suit the terrain you are currently driving on. These options for driving modes include Tour, Sport, Tow/Haul, Off-Road, and All-Wheel Drive, meaning you should be ready to drive in whatever weather or road condition confront you.

Your engine choices include the 4-cylinder Ecotec 2.5L engine producing 27 MPG highway, 2.0L Turbo featuring 230 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque, and lastly, the 3.6L V6 which gets up 308 hp and 270 lb-ft of torque while producing 26 MPG highway.

The Chevy Blazer Trims

The six trims for Blazer you are able to choose from are the L, 1LT, 2LT, 3LT, RS, and Premier, respectively, each trim featuring more high-end inclusions such as a better engine, bigger wheels, etc. L trim starts at $28,800 and will net you the aforementioned 2.5L 4-cylinder engine and 18” aluminum wheels for different terrains and conditions.

The 1LT is up next and adds a few features such as a cloth interior with optional heating elements for you and your front-seat passenger. The 1LT starts at $32,300, but Chevrolet offers eleven packages you may add onto your Blazer with features such as Remote Start, Heated Mirrors, Roof Rack Rails, and much more.

The next trim on the list is the 2LT and starts at $32,800. The 2LT comes equipped with the 2.0L Turbocharged 4-cylinder engine but also allows for you to upgrade to the 3.6L V6 engine with available all-wheel drive (AWD). This engine has a towing capability of 4,500 lbs making it an ideal choice if you plan on towing cargo with your new SUV. You’re also presented with an optional safety package from Chevy to purchase alongside your vehicle, which includes Rear Park Assist, Lane Change Alert, and Rear Cross-Traffic Alerts to further enhance your protection while on the road.

Next, is the 3LT trim starting at $37,000, and with this trim, you get the advanced safety package by default and the interior of your vehicle will be upgraded to perforated leather seats, making this trim an alluring one when it comes to its feature-set along with its classy interior. When paired with the V6 engine this trim can offer a lot for the price.

Blazer’s RS trim starts at $40,600 and has the 3.6L V6 engine standard. RS features black exterior accents and a black leather interior consisting of red accents throughout its design. The RS trim comes standard with 20” wheels but you are given the opportunity to upgrade these wheels to 21” variants.

The last trim for the 2020 Chevrolet Blazer is Premier which starts at $42,700. Premier comes with the same 3.6L V6 engine with available Advanced Twin-Clutch AWD. Premier takes the exterior of your Blazer to a whole new level with chrome-trimmed grilles and roof rails with chrome accents. Your interior will again be Perforated leather with your choices of color being Jet Black or Maple Sugar. Just like the RS, Premier comes with 20” wheels with the ability to upgrade to the previously mentioned 21” wheels.

The 2020 Chevy Suburban

We absolutely love the 2020 Chevy Suburban for many reasons, but most notably, we admire its ability to seat up to eight adults with ease (nine if you purchase the LS trim). However, if you don’t require any of the backseats, you may fold the second and third row of seats flat, which will give you an incredible 121.7 cubic feet of cargo space.

We are also highly impressed by the implementation of entertainment features such as a rear-seat Blu-ray/DVD player with screens on both the second and third row of seats, and a 4G LTE Wi-Fi Hotspot for use with all of your family’s internet devices. You can also expect the Chevrolet Infotainment system to have easy compatibility with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The 2020 Chevy Suburban comes standard with a 5.3L V8 engine getting up to 355 hp with 383 lb-ft of torque while maintaining 22 mpg on the highway. This engine also allows you to tow up to 8,300 lbs, which is very generous for a base engine. You will find this engine on the LS and LT trims, starting at $51,700 and $56,500, respectively.

However, should you choose the Suburban Premier trim, which starts at $65,500, you may upgrade to a 6.2L EcoTec3 V8 engine, which boasts an incredible 420 hp with 460 lb-ft of torque. This V8 engine utilizes Active Fuel Management, meaning it will dynamically adjust its workload and deactivate cylinders when not in use. This is the ultimate engine for your Chevy Suburban and will give you all the power you need.

While the Chevy Suburban is one of the best SUV crossovers of all time and, throughout the years, it has led the way for multiple innovations in both comfort and performance, giving you and your passengers the ultimate vehicle for rides of any length. We believe this car is one to heavily consider as your next vehicle.
