Whether you need to get the kids to school and extracurricular activities or you like heading to the lake on the weekends; you can find the perfect set of wheels for you. Let’s jump right in to learn more about Chevy SUVs.

Chevy Trax

As the smallest SUV in the Chevy lineup, the Trax is available in three trims. Each one is powered by a turbocharged 1.4-L 4-cylinder engine that generates 138 hp and 148 lb-ft of torque. Equipped with a 6-speed automatic transmission and FWD, it has a fuel economy set at 28 mpg combined (26 city/31 highway). If you opt for AWD, the maximum towing capacity is capped at 1,500 pounds.

The base LS model features comforts such as a height-adjustable driver’s seat and a tilt-and-telescoping steering column. A 7-inch monitor displays the infotainment interface that operates with Bluetooth connectivity for hands-free calling. Also included in the well-equipped model are a 4G LTE Wifi hotspot and dual USB ports for charging your mobile devices. Stepping up to the LT will get you upgraded cloth upholstery, satellite radio, and a 110-volt household-style power outlet. Chevy Equinox

Staying in the compact crossover category, the Chevy Equinox is another great choice for smaller families. Available in four trims and with two engine options, this model offers a bit more versatility than its little brother, the Trax. Its standard powertrain is a turbocharged 1.5-L 4-cylinder engine mated with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Together they put out 170 hp and 203 lb-ft of torque. For a bit more power, you can opt for the turbocharged 2.0-L engine coupled with a 9-speed automatic transmission. This combo generates 252 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque.

The Equinox is unique in its standard safety features. Equipped with lane-keeping assist, front pedestrian braking, lane-departure warning, automatic high beams, forward collision alert, emergency braking, and a rearview camera, you can rest assured that your family is safe on the roads. Higher trims are eligible for more advanced safety systems such as the surround-view camera system that gives you a birds-eye-view of your surroundings. Blindspot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, and rear cross-traffic alert can also be added. Trim levels range from L, LS, LT, and Premier and can be equipped with additional packages such as the Interior Enhancement Package and Interior Protection Package.

Chevy Blazer

The most recent addition to the Chevy SUVs family is the Blazer. Since returning in 2019 after a 14-year hiatus, this vehicle has made its name as the athlete of the family. Featuring driving modes such as Tour, AWD, Sport Mode, Off-Road, and Tow/Haul, this crossover can handle difficult roads and terrain with ease. You can even choose between three engines, depending on what you are looking for in an SUV. The standard 2.5-L 4-cylinder engine comes on the LT and 1LT models and generates 193 hp and 188 lb-ft of torque. The 2LT and 3LT versions are powered by a turbocharged 2.0-L 4-cylinder motor that produces 230 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. Finally, the RS and Premier versions house a robust 3.6-L V6 under their hoods that generates 308 hp and 270 lb-ft of torque.

Across the four available trims, many of the differences can be seen on the exterior among fenders, roof rails, and grille styles. All of the Blazer models include the Chevrolet Infotainment 3 System displayed on a large 8-inch touchscreen. The RS version adds navigation to that, and the top-tier Premier model pitches in voice recognition and an HD monitor.

When you get to your destination, you will be alerted by an audible chime to remind you to look in the back. Customization is the name of the game with this SUV, and each trim comes with its own set of unique features. The top-of-the-line High Country includes luxury features like a SkyScape power tilt-sliding sunroof and a rear skylight that comes with a sunshade. It also features heated/ventilated seats, a wireless charging pad, and adaptive cruise control.
