2021: A Year for New Ford Models

With every new year comes the highly anticipated reveal of new and improved products. Car manufacturers are no exception to this rule, as the latest models are shipped to car dealers nationwide soon after their announcement and launch. Every new model released by the manufacturer offers one or another improvement over the older models, and 2021 is not exempt from this rule. Exciting new vehicles are coming from every manufacturer, but many of the most impressive showings for 2021 can be found wearing Ford’s blue oval.

Ford has become a household name over the years, and those loyal to the brand are likely to remain that way throughout their life. 2021 will only cement that brand loyalty when Ford buyers see what new features and vehicles the company has to offer. Perhaps the most head-turning of the new vehicles is the all-electric Ford Mustang Mach-E, but it is not alone in making waves. Ford has also unveiled a brand-new hybrid F-150, the all-new trail-ready Bronco, and Ford’s state of the art SYNC 4 infotainment system. Along with all these major changes, there are also exciting new features being added to other tried and tested Ford models.

2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E: Ford’s First Electric Performance Vehicle

This list of new models being launched under the Ford name has to start with the new Mustang. The Mach-E is a first of its kind, as Ford has never before launched a vehicle that ran solely on electricity. This is also the biggest change to the Mustang family seen in years. Dubbed the Electric Pony, the Mach-E has the option of a standard range battery or an extended range battery. The company claims that the Mach-E can go from zero to sixty in less than four seconds. While it may look like an SUV, the 459 hp and 612 lb-ft of torque available in the GT trim makes the new Mach-E every bit as much of a muscle car as the traditional V8 Mustang.

Ford intends to launch a network of charging stations to meet the needs of the Mach-E and its buyers and has 35,000 stations planned around the US and Canada. Additionally, every Mach-E will come out of the box with a mobile charger capable of adding up to 30 miles of charge per night from any standard home power outlet. Current estimates state that the 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E can travel between 230 and 300 miles on a single charge. The battery is located under the vehicle’s floorboards, allowing for maximum space and comfort for the driver and passengers. All in all, the Mach-E should be a welcome addition to the Ford Mustang lineup and a head-turner on any dealer’s lot.

2021 F-150: Redesigned for Modern Drivers

More changes coming to the Ford lineup include alterations to the classic F-150 pickup truck. This pickup has been redesigned from the ground up and now includes a powerful hybrid V6 engine option. This engine will provide an incredible 430 hp and 570 lb-ft of torque, making it the most powerful F-150 to date. The 2021 Ford F-150 continues to offer the best in class towing and payload capacity that it is known for, making it ready to do any job, no matter how tough. In addition to new exterior lighting in and around the bed and more powerful engine options, the 2021 Ford F-150 has seen more changes with its interior.

One of the biggest updates is the workspace that can be set up atop the center console. The shift lever can even fold down to provide an uninterrupted desk area that is perfect for using a laptop. The front seats can also fold down completely, giving you a comfortable place to sleep when work keeps you from finding a real bed. Locking storage under the second row of seating adds additional protection and peace of mind for any valuables carried in the vehicle. All this extra space makes the new F-150 a veritable office on wheels.

2021 Ford Bronco: An Off-Roader’s SUV

The 2021 Ford Bronco has been made to handle rough rides and the harshest terrain. With best in class ratings for ground clearance, water fording, and breakover and departure angles, there is no terrain that will slow the Bronco down. It can get through or over any obstacle. The 2021 Ford Bronco offers up to seven different drive modes for different terrain, including sand, slippery, sport, eco, normal, mud/ruts, and rock crawl. Finally, the removable roof and doors offer the full open-air experience for drivers and passengers in the 2021 Ford Bronco.

All the interior surfaces in the 2021 Ford Bronco are made for easy cleaning, and there is even available marine-grade upholstery. This offers another nod to its intended use as an offroad vehicle. Even if you have no plans to take the 2021 Ford Bronco offroad, this SUV is one that will turn heads in any environment its driver may cross. Plenty of room, a powerful engine, and high ground clearance ensure that nothing will stop the 2021 Ford Bronco. And with a high-tech infotainment setup, you will be entertained no matter where you go.

Ford SYNC 4 Infotainment

Ford’s next generation of communications and infotainment systems brings twice the computing power of its predecessor. The brand-new SYNC 4 system incorporates all the latest improvements. A combination of voice recognition and cloud connectivity provides easy access to any information the driver or passengers may need. But on top of its stellar connectivity features, the SYNC 4 system is designed for over-the-air updates throughout the vehicle’s life. These updates ensure that SYNC 4 will remain on the cutting edge for years to come.

While the SYNC 4 promises to keep a Ford driver well in the loop with information and voice recognition, the new system can also adjust to individual needs. Available touch screens options go all the way up to 15.5 inches in the Mustang Mach-E, ensuring that any buyer can find a screen that will suit their needs. Apple CarPlay and AndroidAuto are both provided as standard, allowing hands-free phone operation while on the go. The cloud connectivity applies to vehicle updates as well as the navigation system. The system will also learn the driver’s preferences and can offer suggestions en route for other destination possibilities.

Ford Charges into the New Decade

With all these changes, both massive and minuscule, coming to the Ford lineup, this storied brand is well-positioned to continue its automotive dominance into the future. The car world is rapidly changing with the improvements in hybrid and electric vehicles, as well as ever-greater integration of technology. But Ford is staying ahead of the competition with its new models and infotainment options.

However, as models like the new Bronco show, Ford is also not abandoning its legacy of building tough and no-nonsense vehicles that can challenge any terrain or task. Even the updated F-150 continues to offer the same incredible capability that has long made it the single best-selling vehicle in America. When you see the blue oval on a car, truck, or SUV at your local car dealer, you know that it is a model that you can trust no matter where your life takes you.
